1.1 Company Introduction

    Rivers Consulting was founded in 2003 and its founders are mainly the successful people, who came from the field of Marketing Research, Data Mining, E-commerce and Direct Marketing. And its target is to become a high-tech Customer Information Management & Relationship Marketing (CRM) Consulting company. Making full use of Rivers’ self-developed leading edge E-commerce & Direct Marketing Platform, and applying the marketing research, data mining and business intelligence and web analytics experience of SPSS, SAS, Cognos and Google Analytics, Rivers help clients explore and integrate the multi-channel sales of E-commerce, Direct Marketing, and Real Store to realize the perfect combination of online and offline marketing, sales, production and logistics, and to improve clients’ marketing ROI in all aspects.

 In 2003, because of the Rivers' outstanding performance in marketing research and data mining industry, Rivers won the favor from SPSS and became one of the 3 SPSS Certified Strategic Partners in China. Thus, Rivers made full use of marketing research, data mining and business intelligence platform supported by SPSS, SAS and Cognos to provide the service of marketing research, customer segment, campaign predictive model and direct marketing.

    In 2004, with the development of Rivers’ business, direct marketing project execution shows great demand on target audience panel. Rivers established partnership with one of the most famous internet portals in China and set up over 1 million self-owned direct marketing target audience panel in China.

    In 2005, with the great achievement of Rivers' business on marketing research, data mining and direct marketing, Rivers established the partnership with GMI, a US company, which is one of the biggest target audience panel providers for marketing strategy execution. Until now, the target audience panel in China has reached over 5 million. Rivers become GMI’s Certified Service Provider in China.

    Since 2006, with the changes in global market, Rivers’ direct marketing services gradually migrated from traditional catalogue marketing, telemarketing, email marketing to digital marketing with a core campaign site. In the same year, Rivers established a professional B2B/B2C E-commerce service department, which enables Rivers not only to provide Website E-catalogue, Order fulfillment and Points Exchange system, but also to use the advanced website campaign tracking optimization tool (Google Analytics) and digital marketing technology (Internet Word of Mouth Marketing), to provide B2B/B2C E-commerce services, while binging down-to-earth improvement on brand awareness and sales performance.
